Much of the surrounding area is owned by the National Trust and offers superb walks with breathtaking country and coastal views. Families are well catered for with the beautiful safe, sandy beaches of Swanage (2m) and Studland (6m) which offer a variety of watersports, i.e. water-skiing, sailing, canoeing etc. There are numerous exciting places to visit, from the Swanage Steam Railway, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, Bovington Tank museum, to a wonderful selection of pubs and restaurants.
